Thumbs up Your Best Shave To Date with a Straight Razor

A while back I picked up a Henry Sears & Son 5/8" with a barber notch near wedge razor & missed placed it for a while. Found it & remembered it was very sharp But ran it over my Coti under running water for 20 strokes. did 12 strokes on my Koken linen strop & 50 on the Koken leather strop. Let it sit for a day & yesterday shaved with it & it was a whole new experience in shaving for me. I have usually like English razors best liking Wade & Butcher's the most but this Henry Sears & Son's was just so smooth I just have still got a smile on my face. The workmanship of this straight is second to none but now I am a convert. This razor rocks!

To date? I have had a lot of amazing shaves. I recently acquired a Dovo Bismarck that a retailer was selling way lower than the going rate. After honing on naniwas to a Zulu I gave it a shave. It was very memorable. Nice razor with an awesome edge. But I have probably felt that about all my straights and DEs at one time or another.
