Another viable measurement. Cool... Interesting way to gauge water ratio. I have to try this. Haven't noticed razor clingy lather so maybe I've been getting this ratio right.

Weelll....some folk like more water and some less, but I find for me a wetter lather with a straight is better, and that that ratio for me translates into the blade rinsing clean under running water.
But a lot of the time, if there is not enough water in my lather, I can sort of feel the difference on my face as well.
