First let me qualify my position as that of a long-time straight shaver (classic and kamisori) who occasionally uses a DE with a Feather or PoliSilver blade.

The Feather (professional blade) provided the absolute closest shave that I've ever had. Very slight razor burn, almost negligible but there was the sensation. A little witchhazel and an hour later, the sensation has completely subsided. One pass. WTG. 99% BBS.

If you enjoy honing and stropping (as I do) then you may not want to try one of these. It is the lazy man's way to the closest shave possible. It could spoil you!

I have other razors that provide a one pass WTG 98% BBS shave with no burn so I feel that they are 'better' shavers since they are a little softer. It's my understanding that the Feather blades take a shave or two before they settle down and that is understandable since they are not being stropped.

I could easily adopt this razor as a daily shaver and put my other straights in storage but I kind of like the DIY part of straight shaving.
