Thread: Don't try and catch your straight if you drop it!

Nice clean cut - odd place on the underside of my ring finger. I caught it and it closed on the finger - only thing I can think of but I don't remember because it happened so fast. I remember saying sh#t and then the sting as the blade sliced in. Bled pretty good - wrapped it up tight with two bandaids and went to work. It was a near wedge too- nice and heavy! Got the "your an idiot" look from the wife but she didn't say anything - they don't have to of course all you married guys know that.

Hopefully next time I'll jump back and think good thoughts...

I know that look well! Few days ago I cut my finger on a coffee can lid and when my wife saw the band-aid on there she gave me the look. I knew her first thought was "razor...idiot". I think she still doesn't 100% believe it was the coffee can.

i've often thought of that and have decided that i'm going to catch one if i drop it because cuts will heal but broken razors won't. i guess i value my razors more than my flesh.

I have dropped a few. My reaction is get out of the way. I have not had any break or cut myself from a falling razor. I have many times cut myself doing other things with razors. If you play with sharp edges you will get cut.

I haven't dropped one yet. But, just in case I do, I always shave with underwear on to keep private parts from hanging in the way of a falling razor!

I'm the same way- get out of the shower and eager for the shave, but wait- put some unders on 1st.

Also, never fry bacon naked.
