I'll give you an answer later, after I shave , Maybe It will be later tonight or next morning, I betcha I'll hold one different if I'm not going to shave vs actually shaving with it.

2 fingers on top, ring finger on the monkey tail regardless of stroke direction. I find that if I don't have as many fingers as I can get on the blade it will want to jerk and skip through the thick coarse hair on my neck. So I put as many fingers on it as I can get, and tighten on up it like a vice to keep it from pivoting.

I hold a razor the same as a coffee cup. Which is to say whatever suits me at the moment.

two fingers on top and rng finger on the tail...I think in this way the razor has a good balance pressure.
When i use it against the grow of beard in the neck area (movements from down to up) usually I use on finger on top(forefinger), one on low(middle finger) and one on the shank(thumb)

Two on the tang, one on the tail with my pinky dangling free. That's how I roll.

Obie, by the thread title I thought you were talking about how big a pour our scotch is.

As for shaving I guess I use 2 fingers on top.

Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

One, two or three fingers on a razor — who cares? I'll take three fingers of the scotch.

I use 2 on top of the shank in normal areas, (like my sideburns for example). 3 fingers on top of the shank usually happens around my chin area. It kind of gives me more control, reduces nicks. By the way, Obie, that's a good question to ask, I have not seen it come up in topic before.
