Fifty-six. Just a kid, really ...
66, I'm a late starter. ;)
To me I was 45 in 2014 in December and I will never look back just a great way to shave.
I was 17.
Got myself a straight from a local shop ,didn't have enough money for a strop so you can imagine how my first attempt went.
I remember seeing my late uncle shaving with a straight in his kitchen when I was about 8 thought I would try that for myself one day.
Been using a straight mostly for about 20 years now.
This forum has been a boon & thanks to the guidence her I can now keep all my straights up to snuff.
Cheers Paul

The shavette dad gave me, with no lessons, around 16 (presumably because I already knew everything). I'm my upper 20s I started using shavette regularly. True straight this year at 46 and have me further evidence I know just enough to be dangerous. I'm wearing out my styptic pencil, but liking it with the help of this forum.
25 years to late at 41.
First shave with at straight at age of 13. My grandfather tried to teach me. I was too young and dumb to listen; after all, a plastic disposable could remove the peach fuzz in about 2 minutes. It took me 30 years to come back to the straight and realize that once again - I should have listened to my elders!
