I rally can't remember. I know i was in High school when I tried it the first time. Then I used it some when I was in the military. Then off and on again over the years. I re-started in 11-12 and used nothing else since then. O and I was in high school in the mid 60's.

It was sometime in 2005 that JimmyHAD was showing me some old straights that he was getting ready to sell on eBay, and I got "bitten"... but I didn't buy my first straight razor until the end of November 2006. I was 53 years-old... almost 54... and had joined SRP a few days prior. Yes, I blame it all on him.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I'd say about 14 years ago so at 32. But didn't use it for long, gave up and picked one back up a couple months ago. Pretty much all I've used since

At 67, three years ago. I only wish someone would have introduced me to straights when I started wet shaving in 1962.
