In your case that's 40 years times 52 weeks equals 2080 weeks. 2080 weeks times say an average of 2 shaves a week equals 4160 shaves. Take heed newbies, 100 shaves into this and you'll get pretty good.

And until I joined this site, it was with the same two razors. And I typically shave 5 times per week.

There was a lot of business travel where I used hotel room razors in Asia and Eastern Europe or my AA battery Braun travel razor.

30-ish, half a lifetime ago

Started shaving with a SR this time last year at 36.

32, started this year.

I was around 49 when I first gave a straight a try.... Once I got the hang of honing, I haven't looked back except for a 3-4 year stint of poor health that saw me fall back on a DE for simplicity sakes.... I still have a lot of problems, but I'm back with my straights. so I'm happy.

11 June 2013 on my 43rd birthday

I bought my first straight about 6 months before joining here, so...2.5 years ago at 28.

I wish someone had introduced me to these at 15 when I started. Would've saved a lot of razor burn and headache.

33. Started with a DE first and then moved into the straight. Only use a straight anymore.
