Default Things Starting to Come Together

So recently made what I feel like has been my best purchase since I started wet shaving, and that was a 5/8 Wade and Butcher. Now I don't know if it is because this blade has been sharpened with a coticule, but my shaves are getting much better. Irritation is down, alum after my shave stings less, and the ATG pass has become more comfortable. My other two blades a Dovo best 5/8 full hollow, and a Ralf Aust 5/8 are both out getting there free honing. So when those get back I will be able to tell if its the blade or my technique that improved. Either way I absolutely love this little Wade and Butcher!!!!!! Also would like to thank all the guys who have helped me along the way, everyone is so helpful. Think I am going to be able to meet with a mentor sometime this month to go over the basics and make sure I am on the right track.

Sometimes there are subtle things that have a monumental effect on the shave. It could be the Coti edge or the weight and size of the blade, or any number of things. Enjoy the shaves.

I should also state that even though I am getting more comfortable shaves I am by no means at Magnus level. Still take me like 40 mins total in the bathroom. XD

Well it very well could be that your starting to get to that magic level where your technique is coming together. Mine came at about 3 months cause I shave everyday, which really is around 100 shaves, the magic number.

It just gets better from here, but beware the pitfall of complacency, just when you get comfortable it,ll teach you another lesson, Congrats my friend. Tc

Amen to that. My first truly good shave came about 6 or 7months in. Shaving every other day is sufficient for me, so maybe there's something to that magic number.

Congratulations on the success! Just wait til you slap the alum on with no burn at all! I live for those.
