You shouldn't have to do that, I think I'd be looking at giving the blade a good sharpening with a set of stones, or having it done, by someone in this forum.

I do 2 passes, with some touchups. I palm strop before the touchups. I absolutely, unequivocally, beyond the shadow of a doubt, steadfastly and devoutly know that just possibly, maybe it makes a difference.

I saw ML do it and thought it was cool.

I have a rotation of 10 razors, I strop only after each shave is complete and then my razor is ready for the next time I use it.
I see no need to strop again before I shave. Just my 2cents

Stropping between shaves although is not harmful and can bump an edges performance, should not be necessary to get you through a shave. If you cant get through a shave without stropping that is a symptom of probably an under cooked bevel or some other incomplete honing phenomena. At least that is what I have experienced myself with having to go to the strop to finish a shave.

I struggle with the ATG pass and have tried just about everything to make it better. I tried stropping before the ATG pass and I still struggled with no noticeable difference in the edge. I have begun to use a sprayed strop with chromium oxide to bump the edge up a little. I do this about every 4th or 5th shave and its makes a very slight difference.

A good ATG pass is dependent on a good WTG pass first. I would take it to the hones to make sure the edge is up to par.
    Hyperbole is highly exaggerated.
