Thanked: 1Thats what I am beginning to think because it does not slide over the skin. TBH it kind of feels more like I am shaving with a disposable razor like a Mach 3 kind of deal.
Maybe I will go back to the shavette for the next couple of shaves and see if I still get the lumps.

Thanked: 1Not sure if I did it right, but I just tried the thumb pad test, and it didn't grab my thumb at all, and someone tickled down near the inside of the knuckle.
Also it does not always pass the hanging hair test. It passes maybe 60% of attempts.

Thanked: 19I've never used a shavette, but I think I've read they're more forgiving of high blade angle than a straight (?). I have sensitive skin, and if I'm not careful with 1) blade angle, 2) blade pressure, or 3) shave direction in relation to the grain of my beard, then I will end up with a razor burn that looks something like that, and in the same area too (right along the edges of where a goatee would grow).
Which directions are the two passes you are using?

Thanked: 60Looks like ingrown hairs. Probably need a touch up on the edge. I use shavettes and straights. Do you feel you need more pressure and passes with the straight to achieve a good result? If so it's the edge
