    Default Shaving around long mustache

I used to have long sides to my mustache... the learning curve with a straight took it's toll on the poor thing... I want to grow it back one day but I need to find a way to keep from slicing the poor bugger off. I kept loosing half an inch here, half an inch there, and so on... With the DD Dwarf's I am going to grind down to remove bad chips and cracks, to get some short straights. I have a couple acrylic scales comming that will get me woring on them

Would these short (1" to 2") razors be what I need to work around the chin area to keep from whacking off my mustache again?

Default "John has a long moustache"

My stache grows just to the corner of my mouth, but I let the hair continue to grow so it becomes waxable. In fact, my length is a little past my chin right now. Anyway, I had a disastrous early shave when I lopped off more than an inch because I couldn't see my blind side while I had arms and hands waving back and forth in front of me in the mirror! Now I simply gather up the length of my stache 'tween thumb and forefinger in one hand then shave each side of my mouth/chin area with the other. The short razor seems like a good idea, but I'm curious how Wyatt Earp and the boys did their shaving back in the day?! I'd be interested in one of your prototype short razors. Two heads are better than one. However, sometimes it can also double the trouble!

I did a similar thing when I first started - lopped off the bit of 'tache that joined to my goatee. I just learned how to use the heel and toe of the blade after that and haven't had any mishaps since.

But a cut down blade would probably work well. Post some pics when they're done
