Thread: Help with a (special) wedge..

I'm happy to report that the issue has been resolved.

I wound up sending it back to Karl with another razor that needed to be restored. He decided to re-hone it beginning with the bevel setter and then proceeded to do a complete shave with it before sending it back my way. Shaved like a champ!

I will say unequivocally that there's a difference between the shave I get from a wedge vs even a 1/4 hollow grind from say a FBU. Using a golf analogy, the wedge has a more "boardy" stiff feel which I could easily get used to but is very apparent while in process.

Anyway, special shout out to Karl for getting this razor dialed in for me. Karl, as I'm sure anyone who's been on the receiving end of one of his restorations can attest, is a master craftsman and gentleman as well.
