Thread: Report: Second year SR shaving

My second year straight razor shaving.

1. I can tell when my razors need honing and I know how to hone them to my satisfaction.

2. I have confidence mixing lather for a variety of creams, soaps and brushes.

3. Shave preparation is so important. Newbies listen-up good prep is half the battle.

4. I have a routine down and I'm more efficient time wise, but whose in a hurry?

5. For a few minutes a day its all about me.

6. Stropping is relaxing, I sometimes keep I time with music on the radio.

7. I'm starting to help others learn and it reinforces what I have learned in the past.

8. Thanks to all of you who have helped me along the way.

It only gets better and better. Especially when you introduce someone to Straight Razor Shaving.

It does only get better from here, and doesn't stop.

If you're like me, eventually #7 will give you the utmost satisfaction.
There is nothing better than sitting with someone new and passing on knowledge that you've gained over time. Even better is watching the light bulb go on and seeing them have an a-ha moment in person. For me, it doesn't get much more gratifying than that.
