Yes, absolutely right. I didn't mean to pontificate. If there's one thing you learn about straight shaving it's that to each his own. That's what it means to get off the Mach 3 grid!

In my case when I found the right soap (Taylor's or Colleen's for me at least) and won the battle of the chin, oil/glycerine became superfluous. Not just unnecessary, but actually redundant. YMMV...
