    Default FTD...it's a wonderful feeling !!

Whenever i shave with a newly honed straight... the post shave face touching is something i enjoy doing...yes i suffer from FTD (face touching disorder) I consider it a way of judging how close my shave was and how long i can go without feeling new growth... important to this crazy dude! (usually 10 hrs)
That being said...It's only with the new ones that i get FTD...once i know what the razor offers, it falls into the rotation...i'll only touch my fat face for BBS, maybe a couple of times later...u know what i mean....
Am i the only FTD sufferer?
    lol
Well....in honor of a 4/8 thread that i posted on, i recently restored 11 straights and the first one i decided to use was a SPIKE 4/8 near wedge...was in the mood for the lil spike and was pleasantly pleased with the results
FTD will be with me for ten more then.....they enter the rotation and my FTD will diminish

The lil spike won the battle!!!! (big or small...use em all)
    Bruce

    (couldn't rotate pic...sorry)

Also known as facerbating, and I suspect a lot of people do it. My wife also loves my fresh shaven face.

I check to see how smooth my shave is as well and make sure there aren't spots I really need to go over again.
My beard must grow super fast because i can usually feel stubble immediately after shaving.

Faceturbation is a favourite passtime here as well. Keeps me from sleeping with my hands under the sheets

I was kidding. I'm not the most skilled with a straight razor yet, so my shaves aren't always the smoothest. So, I sometimes still have some stubble leftover! I try not to do more than two passes or risk leaving my skin feeling really raw.
I can get more consistent results with a DE, but there has been a few times I would do a pass with a SR leaving an area really smooth (probably smoother than I've ever gotten with a DE). I don't use a SR regularly though so I'm learning gradually.

JP5--Takes some time getting used to the straights, we've all been there!! Took me some time to build up the confidence to do against the grain....brings back memories....the thrill of it all back then!
Less pressure until muscle memory kicks in.....Bravo for taking the plunge!
Still use my DE also.....Shave on fellow wet shavers~~~
That first BBS with a straight is a great feeling and accomplishment
