This is BS straight and simple.. I reread the original posts when this thread was started.. I dont see any indication FW was sacrificing his razors for this.. He also stated that he has tried to get ahold of Utopian and did not get a SINGLE response! Im a little perplexed at what does it matter if he has had the razors for over a year without opening them? And when you do someone a favor like this and say dont worry about the time frame, ive got plenty of razors.. That does not mean 7 months and im not returning any emails, phone calls, texts, smoke signals or wtf ever.. Been a little disappointed with the forum lately... We have a brand new member who admittedly makes a mistake and some members actually call him an ••••••, ignorant, terrible manners, no etiquette... Yet this is being defended by some? FW I am totally on your side and hope you get the razors back as stated.. I was told that same thing a few times before i finally did.. Scott W

The total lack of communication for months on end is inexcusable without a doubt.

FWIW, the Dovo "Best Quality" razor I honed up for a beginner this past spring had by far the worst edge that has ever touched my face. Everything around the edge was crappy quality to boot. I certainly wouldn't need a stereo microscope to tell me what my face knew in a few passes. That entry-level Dovo has all the quality of a razor I'd expect coming out of Pakistan.

And that opinion was formed after I honed the blade up. I shiver to imagine how shoddy the edge was from the factory.

Easy, Scott. FW will get his Dovos back.

More unpleasantness won't help at this point.
If you are referring to the episode with Derb, It was regrettable it got to that point.
In fact, I apologized to him for the result of my statement on and off the thread. I apologize here as well.

TBH, I recommend not repeating my mistake here.
IMO, FW has registered his complaint quite well. I don't think piling-on is necessary.
These things can get frustrating, but there are often things we don't know.
    All will be resolved.

You are right Tom.. I am going to stay off the site for awhile besides checking my Movember Auction.. Thank you Tom for taking care of those and sending to winning bidder.. Pretty sure they didnt need anything more than a edge touch up.. PM me if you need anything regarding those.. Appreciate it, Scott W

Well, the forum is made up of humans. You know how that goes!
    Same thing anywhere, I suppose.
No need to stay away, Scott. The holidays are upon us. The forum is a nice respite at times.

Hey man... You're talkin' smack about my favorite cheap razor.

It's really a sad thing. Dovo made some fine quality with lots of names on them besides theirs back in the day.
    Hess comes to mind.....

Thanks, always wondered who had made the Hess razors. Yes, my Hess is a quality razor.
