    Default Chin problem

Well ive been using a straight since March, but most of the time i have a goatee. I decided to shave it off and every time i do i get the worst irritation on my chin. I've tried everything hot towels, oil, multiple lathers so now im stuck. At first i thought it was my razors but its not its super sharp and shaves the rest of my face smooth just not my chin any in put would be greatly appreciated.

I would be willing to bet it's something alot simpler. Your chin is not as used to the razor as the rest of you skin is. I used to have the beard growth just under the ends of my mustash, when I shaved it off I noticed that it was very tender and irritable after shaving. Now it is just fine, no irritation at all.

Dwarf is right. If the chin isn't feeling better in about two weeks, it's probably your technique.

+1 on both DwarvenChef and X. The first few days of shaving with a straight made the skin on my face all crusty (ewww, not nice). After 2 weeks it resolved.

Similar experience here too. At first the straight caused major irriation on my chin and neck. But after about 3 weeks it was almost gone. The remaining irritation went away after my technique improved. Hang in there and work slowly with short strokes and minimal pressure on the chin. It's better to do two light passes then one hard one to get the same result.

Try pulling (with a dry hand) your cheek, from your chin area toward your ear in order to stretch the skin on your chin. Took me a while to get this like you but its all good in the hood now.
