mach3 sucks
I have been using the straight to shave my head with a DE thrown in a time or two for about a month. In a hurry the other night I picked up the mach3 and did my head in the shower. I have spent the last week fighting bumps, zits, and a sore scalp. I didn't realize how bad a mach3 was untill this point. I threw it in the trash to keep from being tempted by the speed of the semi disposable. These things (mach3) need to be outlawed before someone hurts or kills themselves with one I think congress needs to have a heraing and outlaw any magizine that holds more then three blades and can be fired semi a-u-t-o-m Hold on wrong forum. Any way the goverment needs to protect me from a mach3 because I can't think well enough to protect myself from its dangers.
Has anyone else had this bad of luck with the semi-disposable razor.

Wow, a thread in a "Non-Off-Topic" forum that went from zero to political in 0.5 posts...

Sorry for going off the path. My mind wondered a little. What I really wanted to discuss was the poor quality of the mach3 shave and how great my straight razor is for the head.

I threw my Mach 3 away around the end of March . The reason why is , I couldn't find cartridges for it at Wal Mart . They had new Mach 3 turbos (or what ever they're called) but no cartridges . I was totally disgusted and was not going to buy a M3 turbo so I bought a pack of 4 Shick triple blade disposeables (BTW they suck) . I still have 3 of those razors unused , and the other one doesn't have much wear on it because I started shaving with a str8 about a week later .

Thanked: 1587This is going against the grain a little, but I never had bad experiences with the Mach 3 on my head But when I started using straights it was "all or nothing" so I threw away my Mach 3 stuff so I couldn't go back (easliy, in any event).
I'll tell you one thing though - be careful of the noggin in everyday life. I was playing with my dogs last week and the big one got a bit overexcited and put 3 6 inch scratches on the top of my head with her nails. They scabbed up pretty quickly. The next time I shaved my head with the straight, it whisked off those scabs like they were hair - ouch!!
Even though shaved heads are becomming more usual, it's still the first thing people notice about you if you have one. Weeping scabs is not a good look

Just solidifies my idea that once it starts to go, I'm shaving it all off

I've always said I'd rather it turn gray than turn loose!
