That is why their edges lasted so long, keeping them in a pyramid.

We've had many discussions about Kamisori being designed for use by barbers only. You can research that here if you want. No conclusions were ever arrived at in these parts.

My argument has always been twofold. First many folks lived in rural areas where barbers were a long way off and second it costs money and that was in short supply for many back in the day. Going to a barber was a luxury experience. The well heeled could partake of it every day or have their butler do it for them.

If you had no mirror maybe....

To be able to afford a razor is one thing and then to be able to afford to have someone else shave you is another.

Shaving for most of its time has been a status symbol and except for things like respirator use it still is.

I would hate to see the cuts i could give someone without the benefit of feeling the pain in time to stop before going too deep.

Same here. I would never shave another person.

    No way, no how...
I have been asked by a couple of people to shave them and have politely declined.

    Interesting thoughts.

From the different perspective would it be easier to shave someone else?

There's a video on youtube where this guy gets his 12 year old daughter to shave him with a straight.
I got a little nervous watching her because I felt maybe she was using a little more pressure, but then he tells her
it's ok you can press a little more. It all turns out fine though.
