Cold Water Shaving...
Normally I get a shower room while on the road complete with towels and hot water. Rarely have I shaved in less than hot water. For whatever reason the Hat Six Travel Center in Evansville / Casper, Wyoming public restroom only had cold water today. Not just cold water, but snow still on the peaks cold water. I can definitely say I am not a cold water shaver. Nope, don’t like it.
I used a nice 5/8 Hoffritz Barber’s King with C.O. Bigelow green tube (think Poraso) and a Stirling Soap Company’s 26mm badger brush. The razor was recently refinished on a new Norton Arkansas Translucent. Both the honing and tonight’s shave turned out very good, despite the cold water.

A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Thanked: 3225At least you found out the shave with cold water turns out just fine even though you don't care for using cold water. I have for years now used cold water and don't mind it a bit. Each to their own.

Ok......I'm gonna try cold water. It might be just the thing my crappy sensitive skin needs.

I shave usually with cold to then hotter water to get the water hot to the shower before I jump in there.
I suppose I could install a hot water recirc line to solve those issues...........
