Father's day in Germany (May the 21st)
Today is a national holiday in Germany and it is what we call Father’s day (I know the date is different in the Staates). My 17 year old son made me a special present for this day.
About a year ago I donated him his first straight razor as a birthday present and some small whisker was growing on his cheek the last months.
So today he wanted me to introduce him into straight razor shaving - and that for his first shave ever.
Needless to say that my wife immediately looked for the first aid kit to be prepared for any emergency case.
So we did the shave together, I showed him how to move the razor on the skin in different positions and he follows.
Everything went good, he did everything well without any cuts and even without skin irritation. He did only passes wtg - but for the first time he did really great.
Hopefully he is keeping the interest and will be further part of our community!
By the way he was shaving with a 6/8 Henckels Friodur 472 with ornamental spine and I with a 6/8 Paul Drees - Adresso razor from master Werner Breidenbach.
Have a great day!
Peter

Peter, congratulations, proud dad!
Last Christmas I gave my son William his first straight razor: vintage French blade from eBay with his name on it. But he still hasn't tried it....
