    Angling the blade increases the cutting ability and edge retention imo. But the blade doesnt care whether its stubble or skin so be careful at first.

    I do that too, I got the general idea from your photo but I have to do a bit more slicing and a bit less downstroke so I sort of start where you did but make the angle much greater.

    Although as some have mentioned, i should stry stetching the skin in my neck more, funny I stretch the rest of my face but completely forget to stretch my throat.

    Sure is but you can get the same effect with a regular DE/SE using the Gillette slide. It is a damn sight safer with a slant though because you are not moving the razor itself diagonally on the stroke. With a straight razor it's probably even trickier.

    I hadn't actually heard of the Gillette slide but the technique took me a while to get right with my straights and without pink lather and i use a quite tight angle.
