Default First shave with a feather

I recently bought a feather artist club RG from one of our members. It will be my travel razor (road razor?)

Yesterday I finally tried shaving with it. I got some pro guard blades, pro and super.
I went with the pro blades and not the guarded ones because shaving is one of those physical activities that feels a lot better without protection.

I have shaved with a shavette for years, but because of the horror stories on this site I had expected it to be a major blood letting excercise.

The first pass was incredible. Never has a first pass been so close. Still some resistance from my hairs so I used small motions and short strokes.
ATG pass was smooth as well, but again I used short strokes because my hairs still resisted a little bit.
My face was BBS, my throat area almost. That place is always problematic.

The feeling was a bit coarse afterwards, but I had no burn and no nicks. No blood either. I think the feather is ideal for daily WTG passes.

All in all I am very happy that I bought this razor and it will definitely be with me for a long, long time to come.

Glad to hear it. The AC has been my daily 2-pass shaver for almost two years now. Never been happier with my shave.

You'll probably appreciate your 5th or 6th shave more. Those things are so sharp you actually benefit from them dulling a bit.
