Thanked: 0Hard Spot!
Hey guys, I started straight razor shaving in Jan and now wow I have 3 razors!! my face no longer has acne and it feels wow!
I dont cut myself so much and I do 2 passes with with the grain and second aganist the grain however below the chin my hair grows sideways to the right I find its not enough across the grain here but its really really hard to go aganist the grain here...
any way... I have a modfied graph showing the direction of the growth of my hair dont know how to copy it here....
Thanks in advance!

Thanked: 1587Hey Andres,
Sounds like you're doing very well. Nice one!
If your graph is an electronic file, you can upload it into your post by clicking the attachments icon (looks like a paperclip) that comes up when you type a new post. It's fairly self-explanatory once the upload window pops up, I think, but if you have more problems just ask.

I have an area that grows sideways on my neck/chin crease and a couple swirls as well. I've taken to shaving with a back stroke using the opposite hand when I feel the need to shave atg in this area. i.e. when shaving the right side of my neck in this area atg I use my left hand and hold the razor in a fashion that the edge of the blade would be facing back toward the palm of my left hand. I then pull the neck skin tight and shave right to left with my left hand, crossing over to the right side of my neck area. I don't know if you can visualize that. Hope it helps in some way.

Most everyone has some sort of irregular pattern of facial hair growth. The key is to study it... understand it... learn from it. Your facial hair will teach you things; powerful lessons that the wisest of monks have meditated on for years on end. Once you have devoted a sufficient amount of time to it (and this amount of time will certainly vary from one shaver to the next), you will have forged a proverbial skeleton key that will unlock many a door -- the most important of these doors being the one to the bathroom, where you will venture further and further along the winding, bumpy road of straight razor shaving, ultimately towards grooming nirvana, where, in the end, you will begin to smell the spirit of shaving.
