    Default FEATHER AC

does anyone with experience here with this razor have any advice as how to use it. I understand the angle and pressure thing but I shaved with it today and did not find it to be much better than a double edge and most straights. I was very cautious with it though and only had a small nick.

    Which blades did you use?
I have use the pro blades (no guard) and they worked fine for me.
I also lead with either the heel or the toe so that it just glides through the hairs without resistance, and I use short strokes.

    how many passes also?

I usually can make it to 3 or 4 and compared to a DE...lets just say its hard for me to pick up a DE because the comparison is to great.

I am using super pro blades. I only did a couple passes for the first time out and I am going to give it a try again in a day or two. I shaved with a double edge today and I must say now I think a feather is smoother.

I had the most success with the proguard blades. They are a little more forgiving (which is good with the feather!) and offer a really close shave. The feather is super sharp and, like a DE, you don't have to learn to hone and strop. A lot of people experience irritation with the feather so it is important that keep pressure insanely light and the angle almost flat against your face. I started with the feather and went on to traditional straights and my advice is to skip the feather and go for the straights or if you are already using straights, stick with it (unless you just want more toys and if that is the case...). Hope this was helpful
