    Default Anyone else do this?

So I've been shaving with a str8 for a couple of years now and I had one of those random thoughts enter my head during my last shave.

I do three passes, 1st wtg, 2nd xtg and 3 atg. But I only do the atg along my jawline towards the chin and on my chin and upper lip. The thing is when I do this I lather up and wet my free hand, place my thumb below my ear and drag my fingers flat over my jaw line stretching the skin between. I then shave this area and drag my hand across my whole jaw until i reach my chin. Then I rotate my hand and put my thumb under my chin and drag my fingers up and then shave the area between. I feel that it pops the hairs up to be cut while keeping the skin tight for that bbs shave.

This is something that I have ben doing for years but never made a big note of it. Just something that I guess came naturally. Anybody else do something similar? Any thoughts?

That's how I shave my head. It also has the added benefit of letting you know how much hair is left. Which is important when you can't see what your shaving.
