    Default TI Historic Shaving Box

    Hi Guys,

I think this one got lost in the crash and is definitely worth bringing back. This is a Beechwood Historic Shaving Box created by Theirs Issard. It is a re-creation of what was used by gentlemen in the early 1900's. It represented the ultimate in luxury for both travelling and home shaving. It holds a couple razors, a brush, soap and a dish as well as a small paddle strop and whatever else you have room to throw in. Note the mirrow on the back of the top when the box is open. This box is just killer!!!!

I think there may be some of these at ClassicShaving.com.........

    Too cool..........

That is really nice. I really like the little paddle strop. Where is the green paste?

How is the latching mechanism for locking down the lid? It doesn't look like it can take much to dislodge it.

It's a pretty simple little latch, but I have not had it pop open yet.

Not particularly comforting given the cost, but other then that it looks very nice. I suppose for general use a simple latch would be more then sufficient, but for lugging around?

I didn't see any at classic but I did see them at RasurPur.de. They have them for straights and DE's. As I recall about $200.

150 euros / 220 USD for the Straight version and 133 / 195 for the DE version.
