    Default Facial Spa

Ok, I’m not quite sure yet where to put this, so I’ll stick it here. I have skin that dries out very easily, and don’t always shower in the morning because putting on nice clothes to go to class and work doesn’t really feel right if I’ve just slathered my poor cracking skin with tones of oily lotions. Also, before coming to SRP, I hadn’t figured out (and still haven’t) how to get a good hot towel prepped and applied for a while at home. So instead I’ve been using a little facial spa that also helps keep my sinuses in good working order. It’s basically an upside down plastic cone, open on the bottom, with a small pool of water and a heating element. Turn it on, steam comes out the cone, which you rest your face it.

This is pretty much the same thing. I like it because I put it on the bar after I’ve made my coffee and read a book, newspaper, or watch some tv in the morning, with my lower face and neck being flooded with warm, comfy and most importantly hair softening steam. It works wonders, and the ladies I live with enjoy it as well. Anyone else ever hear of such a crazy thing, or am I the first to mention it here?

For a hot towel prep, I take one of the
towels I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply and
soak it in water. I then put it in the
microwave for 40-50 seconds. Let it sit for
about 30 seconds in the microwave and then
remove it and put it on my face. Seems to do
the trick, although it doesn't do the double
duty as clearing the sinuses as yours does.

The only thing to watch out for if you're sharing one with ladies like I am is that sometimes they'll put a few drops of EO in water. While this can be wonderful, one of the two puts about 5 times as much in, so sometimes I think I'll be getting a nice lavender waft but instead I'm choking on the damned things.
