Default Straight shaving on the cheap or a travel kit

This is what I use at the gym in the morning but it would make a great travel kit also, if you threw in a travel strop!!!

Now what I put together was all bought at Wal-Mart and cost less than $20 including the case

    Shave Case = $7.96
    Burma-Shave brush = $3.64
    Williams shave puck = $.97
Edge Cleansing Shave Creme = $3.97
    Wash cloth = $1.94
    Tupperware bowl = $.57
Total kit = $19.05 OK OK plus tax hehehe

Straight Razor: Any one that I could afford to lose and replace easy enough $25
    Old Spice AS $5.95
    Total if lost about $50

I figured that this was an inexpensive kit that I could easily afford to replace if by chance it was lost or stolen, (with me, probably left in the locker room)

Anyway, yes you can get a great shave on the cheap too!!!!

Anybody else put together a cheap kit, I would love to hear any ideas??????

Yes I know shaving at home with the best equipment and products is more satisfying, but you can get a great shave with this kit too!!!

When I travel I use a paddle strop with the handle removed, a basic straight razor, and a barber hone. I use the soap at the hotel. As long as you get the kind with cream in it your golden.

The total travel kit cost me $55.

I wouldn't really think much of it except that I get much better shaves with this kit and the hotel soap then I do at home. Go figure!

When I travel, I use a synthetic brush (dries quicker), proraso soap (I can generate lather in the jar so I don't need a bowl) and the proraso pre/aftershave cream (not a liquid, gives a great minty blast and has a neutral smell.
I was lucky enough to test Tony's synthetic strop, which makes a great traveller as it can be folded and rolled with no adverse consequences. A shoelace or a tie rack (got it at the office Xmas party) to hang it up.
