    Default XTG/ATG hand position thread

    Guys,

I'm after your help. I've been searching for a file/thread/video I vaguely remember seeing that was a kinda instructional where a member showed his hand positions and blade angles for XTG + ATG passes. I'm not sure if it was lost in The Crash, but I can't find it anywhere and have been searching for ages.

Anyone know what I'm on about/able to point me in the right direction?

How about these. It is hard to hold a big razor to your throat while extending the camera with the other hand at arms length and snapping an in focus photo. With the grain hold, with the grain hold on the face and an against the grain hold on the face. A with the grain hold on the neck, an against the grain hold for the neck and a photo against the neck., or at least that is how I do it.

Yup, been thinking about changing that. Maybe a save the new guy poll, a shave yes or no and a shave with which blade poll. That does look a bit scruffy, but I have had it for 20 years. I only shave it once for a party, grew it back in a week.

I had a beard for about 10 years. I started straight shaving, and somehow ended up clean shaven a couple weeks later. I just kept shaving.

Thanks for the post. Very considerate to do that just for this thread. I was going to joke it doesn't seem to be getting that close for you, but I was kinda too late!

    Erick,

That's exactly what happened to me. Man, there's a big difference in simply trim-shaving around full beard and having to learn how to str8 shave my whole mug!
    But I'm enjoying it so...
