Uberlather Plus
Good morning Gentlemen!
Playing with uberlather (soap + creme + 5 drops of glycerin) for a while, I found a new recipe that boosts it even more, by adding a squirt of Dr. Bronner's liquid unscented soap. There are two ways to go: either adding the liquid soap to the mix, or using Dr. Bronner's soap instead of the creme. This way one doesn't need to match the fragrances of shaving soap and creme, as the liquid soap is unscented and has no effect on the shaving soap's scent. The lather of this new mixture is unbelievable, and gives me the closest, most comfortable shave ever.
I found the best price for Dr. Bronner's unscented (Baby mild) liquid soap here:

Or you could just purchase Mamabear’s shaving soap. No fussing needed and it will lather like meringue.

I just got a bunch of samples from TGQ of a bunch of soaps and a couple creams. I got them to match with some creams I already had, so so far I can make cavendish black uberlather, savon de comte, oak moss, desert ironwood and a lavender one using TGQ soap and CF lavender cream.. then there is the SRP Sandalwood/Vetiver and TOBS Sandalwood cream uberlather
I only have sample sizes of most so far trying those that I figure later I'll buy larger pucks/jars of cream for those I like like the desert ironwood and savon de comte so far.

Mamabears soap has a super amount of glycerin already in it so you don’t have to add any extra. When I melt down Colleens soaps to put in my soap jars I will add half a teaspoon of glycerin to the melted soap. That way I don’t have to mess with adding any when I lather, and I get uberlather. I usually end up with lather splashed on the mirror from whisking up a mug of lather. I have too much to do in the morning to worry about bathroom chemistry so I just add it to the soap when I get it.

If MB's soap does it for you, by all means, stick with it. I was very happy with them when I started traditional wet shaving. Today I know of at least a half dozen soaps in my personal rotation that I find better, meaning I get closer and more comfortable shaves with them. Anyway, no single soap comes anywhere close to uberlather, let alone uberlather plus, IMO. YMMV, of course.

This alchemy sounds a bit like method shaving that has been extensively covered on B&B. Ever tried that?
