I store my razors in a silverware box, and keep them in my bedroom away from water and visiting nieces. The items in the display cases have been moved, used and rearranged, in other words, these are old photos, but the locations are the same.

I have a cabinet in the bath where I store the things I use the most: brushes, soap(s) and cream(s), mugs & scuttles aftershave, balms and hair tonic. I have added 2 cup hooks on the bottom of the cabinet to hang the strops when I'm not using them. I do have a hook on the sink to hang the strop when using it.

I have a shelf in my bedroom where I keep the "overflow" , the stuff I don't use that often: mugs, brushes, and aftershave.

Thanks Freebird for sharing you're Shave Den with us.

The pictures tell that you like shaving mugs a lot, you've got quite few.

I've been thinking about the safety issue as well. Although I haven't got children myself (yet) and don't have family and friends with
jumping, playing, screaming and nosy children it's not to big of an issue at the moment. But this is like to change any time soon.

My initial plan was to build a 3 shelf cabinet, like yours in the last picture and put my straights in the lower compartment.
Last week I decided to adjust my design put the razor in the middle section security reasons.

I'd like to hang my Shave Den in the bathroom of my future house (I now shave in the kitchen, where there is less humidity).
Will my straights be safe enough and survive when I grease/oil them before putting the back in the Shave Den?

Now SRP-ers, let's see those other Shave Den pictures?

My "shave den" is in a state of disrepair and we are currently performing a remodel.

I do however, have found a pretty good storage display for the razors that i can display (some still need some cleaning up and a little TLC). I just need to decide where...

BTW This case has two locks, keeping prying fingers away.

Maybe I should incorporate some locks in my design as well

Which might lead to someone just taking the whole case or just knocking out the glass.

Which means, 2 screws through each stud behind the case and glass laminates
