I don't know if I'm on the right fourm?
Hey gals and guys,
Being a competitive cyclist, I like to keep my legs nice and smooth. I am a newbie to the facial, 12+ shaves, but I figured if I'm doing the face I may as well rake the legs with a straight as well! So I'm two shaves down on the legs and I think I like it. It took about 45 minutes to get the job done each time and I haven't cut myself too bad. The legs are actually easier than the face. There is more surface area to cover but less nooks and crannies. I will have to say behind the knees was bit hard but I just stood up and kind of reached around. Any way, kudos to you women who are wielding the straight and I will keep you posted on the status of my legs!

If you're happy discussing leg shaving with the ladies you're in the right forum IMHO.

Hi Dave
I'd say you were in the right place too. I do have a question though, on the leg you are shaving do you put your foot on the bath or toilet edge to help stretch the skin?

I have to say this is probably the best place to ask, and the ladies here are all very generous... Best of luck and don't forget to shave between your toes...

Thanks Kees, Silver, and Mike,
Silver, I am sitting on the edge of the tub with my foot on the floor and for the lower leg that works fine. For the knee, I place my hand below my knee and pull the skin down. Knee is bent at a 90 degree angle, as I moved up to the front of my thigh, my stretching hand moved up as well and I kept pulling the skin taught. I did not do this on my thigh the first time and it is much more comfortable today because I did stretch enough the second time. For the last bits on the back of my thigh, I stood up and reached down and around, it was not hard and did not cause any problems.
Thanks for the responses and support,

I'm a cyclist too although I don't shave my legs any more. The hair seems to be falling out of it's own accord.
I can see where legs would be easier than a face. I've thought about trying mine with the straight just to see how it goes.

Thanked: 79Welcome to the forum, glad you found some help, as this is something I know little about. I did have a coworker who was a competitive swimmer years ago who shaved his whole body to gain a little bit of time. He was already really fast, we lost him to the SEAL teams. Don't know if he made it after that, we didn't see him again.
Good luck with your racing, and enjoy the straights. They are addictive.
