Just be sure you point the blade north otherwise it won't work!

Does it work on a straight?... But make sure to try it with a shave-ready razor! Otherwise your razor will be dull forever. And that would be... rather silly, in fact!

Don't forget to keep us posted on your experiment!

I use the same technique on my bed. It always keeps my brain sharp when I sleep... Works for other thing as well

We all laugh at how silly this is but the sad part is that there really are people who believe this actaully works!

I remember this, ah, technique from when I was in junior high in the early '70s. I actually built one with the help of a university professor. It didn't work then, I dought it will work now.

    Hi there, and great idea!
Part of my hesitancy about jumping to a straight is having to learn things like honing. This should take care of that part, and I'm gonna build my own pyramid this week! I already have a shave ready razor, but didn't want to mess with honing it after possibly using it in the future.
That brings me to my question, and you seem to be right on top of things here........
Should I build a smaller model as well? I'm thinking that should take care of any daily stropping or very minor touch ups needed. Sound good to you?
    Thanks for the informative post,
    Martin

If you put your razor in there on a full moon it works twice as good unless you live in the Southern hemisphere then it works better on the new moon unless Jupiter is within 5 degrees of arc of the moon and then it works twice as bad but if Mars is within 5 degrees of arc the razor will jump out of the pyramid and seemingly come to life. Also if there is an electrical storm you need to put a rubber cover on the pyramid because if you don't, well you don't even want to know what can happen.

+1 on thebigspendur's warning about electrical storms and the ascension/declination of Mars.

I find using a high copper bronze alloy for the frame, and leaded Austrian crystal can decrease some of the damage caused by the Karmic blah-blah-blah flare-ups during the above conditions.

Also, don't forget to wear a tinfoil hat and pull out your fillings so the government can't beam ideas into your head.
