Default was brave and got it done

got the nerve up today and got 90% shave. yes it was cheap "foam" and im sure i was not doing things all right but i did use one of my hand made razors and even had fun doing it. it was a 5/8 short blade (1.5 inch long )

had one trouble spot and i cleaned it up with a reg razor but all and all not back and i think i like the shorter blade and rounded toe and heel.

seems like this is going to be more a weekend shave deal as weekdays i dont need to spend more time not in the shop

Glad to hear it, but just so you know it, straights are regular razors! Everything else is out of the ordinary!

Well done Butch! Keep at it and you'll be getting divine shaves in no tome. the learning curve is usually pretty steep even for the average guy with no frame of referrence.

    Fair Warning Sir!

This line of thinking is NOT going to lead to more time in the shop! I encourage it for sure though. I can't imagine the razors you will make if you are actually a straight shaver too. The work you do already is fantastic.
