    Thanks for sharing. Interesting stuff.

    The introduction to a razor made from forged steel and creating a good working edge - is absent. I do not know if this is documented in any way, but somebody had to have sat down and said, "there's got to be a better way than this". and somehow experimented with actually creating a razor. It wouldn't surprise me if this came from the orient, perhaps even as far back as Marco Polo.

    Does anybody have any information about the creation and the beginnings of the steel blade that we know today? It could have come from a blacksmith, perhaps, skilled in making weapons would be a good guess. We know the making of swords and their metallurgy goes way back.

    Any ideas?
