horizontal bristles on my neck....
Hello all!!!
I just wanted to "share a problem" I have, with you...
As you all probably know, I got BBS out of my str8s without problems by now.. BUT.... I have these 2 spots, next to my Adam's apple, as shown on this picture:
Is there someone that has the same problem and who has a special technique to get rid of it?
It's so upsetting to have a bright BBS on all the face and just these 2 spots untouched...
PS: Moreover, I would even be ashamed to use a Gliletteete snezor, that I don't have, to shave it (sorry I just can't pronounce it good..)
Many thanks in advance for your tips guys!
Valentin

This is what I do, pull the skin on the adams apple to the left and shave accordingly, then pull it to the right and shave. No need to deal with the adams apple directly. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem and this is what I do:
After doing N-S on the first pass and S-N on the second pass, then I spend some extra time on that area doing NE-SW on my left side and NW-SE on the right side, pulling to skin towards the ears.
The first time I'll do it with lather, and after that with only water.
For this I hold the blade straight with my strong hand.
I get better results with a 5/8" blade than with a 6/8" for obvious reasons
Note: some days it comes out better than others, depending on blade sharpness (I rotate blades on a daily basis, so I get different results)
Let me know if you try this method and how it works for you.
Good luck

I have a similar growth pattern, expept mine grows from left to right across my whole neck. For a while I used to take extra passes in the area (N-S, S-N, NE-SW + touchups), but after a while I didn't see the point. That's not a highly visable area, and I also found it rather sensitive. The extra passes were causing irritation and had deminishing returns. Now I just go N-S and S-N and that's good enough for me.

Ok shaving Pals!
Sorry for being late on this one.... BUT...
I finally found THE solution... I hope I will be clear enough:
The basic trick here is to make a half-circle motion with your Str8 from your jaw.
The goal here is that your blade has to rotate going down.
The position is the same that you use to shave your cheek. You pull your skin as usual and start to shave just under your cheek, at your jaw line... You then give this half-circle motion to the point of your blade in order to have the blade vertically positionned at the end of its course. For the other side, repeat the operation with the other hand.
Of course, you want your head to lay back, or to the order side, as much as possible and you will not be able to check what your are doing in the mirror. Trust your senses....
Hope this help... If not, let me know and I will post some drawings.
