One must admit that handling a multiple blades razor-thing is easier than a single blade one (apart for the vibrating one )... but I will not dare to say that - for me at least - the shave is as comfortable as with a single blade, or a straight (maybe as close, but I always had ingrowing hairs and razor burns with my old Gillette).
BTW êshave has some nice stuff: I have the white tea shaving cream (a good cream, but not excellent) and the white tea aftershave cream (a real cream to treat your skin, a really excellent product) - their smell is just wonderful. Too bad they have a horrible customer care service... or the complete lack of one... I sent them an email asking for informations on their products, shipping fees, etc and never received even one word as a reply... nothing. Too bad.

Ye Gods!
This woman is an expert? In what, precisely? Fatuous Gillette promotion perhaps? I am at an utter loss where to start my criticism & remain gentlemanly. How's this? Has she never sliced herself with a multiblade? I have & instead of the single swiftly healing & self sealing line you get with a STRAIGHT, you end up with a patch of your face/leg/whatever looking like raw mince & feeling like it has been blowtorched. The problem is that some poor fools will believe her word to be the truth. Good job we know better eh?

Thanked: 7O.K.- I will agree that she was dead wrong on the idea that the multiple blade razors give as close of a shave- but I will agree that they are easier to use. I had no instruction on how to shave when I was younger and I had both the trac 2 and a DE (plastic handle and cheap.) I tried the DE once for one or two strokes before I threw it out. There was no internet to tell me that I needed to use a good cream and brush and not the can of gilette. Nobody was there to tell me not to use pressure and to use a proper angle nor to prep my hair. I sliced the skin fairly well and in more than one spot. I threw it out and continued on with the trac 2 until the mach 3 came out and then I think I had a Wilkneson sword for awhile before running across the idea (on the net or by a barber I do not recall) that a straight will give a superior shave compared to my fancy new multiple blade razor if you take your time.
I guess what I am trying to say is that she is right- for 90% of the population a multiple blade razor is the “best” choice. Many are not willing to put in the time to learn a DE or straight and even more do not want to spend the time on shaving and prep. I have managed to convert one or two people, but the majority of people who I know are happy with their crappy gilette.

Maybe we can get one of the custom razor makers to weld a few straight razors together for a mutliple blade straight razor: that would be fun!

I wonder what planet she came from??!! I used a Mach3 once and about took off my nose and both lips! Easier to use a 5 blade razor?

Has me wondering just how many times has she shaved her face with a straight?

I doubt she has had a proper shave with anything, anywhere

Honestly, I actually agree with her. A Fusion or MachIII ,Bic etc., are indeed easier to use-than a Str8.Disposables aren't all that sharp-my beard is so dense I was only getting 2 maybe 3 shaves with a Fusion 5 blade cartridge. A good Str8 doesn't pull like they do. There is indeed flexibility with some Str8 blades that doesn't exist with the disposables. The video wasn't that bad.
As far as her being "an expert" well...she doesn't seem old enough for a mustache- on the other hand she has to shave her legs more than me.
