Thanked: 335Oh swell
Does anyone else shave without their glasses on? My face gets too crowded with a razor, glasses, and fingers trying to pull skin hither, thither, and yon, you know, for that perfect stretch. I can see just fine, well, fine enough to shave, but just learned that I need to put them on before I put everything away. I have at least one razor where the blade favors one side of the gap between the scales. The Friodur I used with great comfort this morning leans to the right enough so that I'm tempted to call it Dubya. And wouldn't you know that since I couldn't see well enough to discern this little detail and had forgotten to remember this fact, I closed the razor wrongly into that right scale.
...things had been going so well too...

Ohch! I feel your pain, Bruce! That sucks - hopefully it didn't do too much damage and a few laps on the Norton will put her to rights.
Also, another good reason to do a re-scale! LOL
Hope your day gets better from here!

I also am a wearer of glasses and I know what you mean. I have thought of putting my contacts in before I shave but I never do. I kind of check by feel anyway. Hope the blade wasn't badly damaged. I would just use it as an excuse to get another razor...

Hither and thither have never really gotten me anywhere; but when I yon, I don't even need fingers to stretch my skin.
I don't where my glasses when I shave (bright lights and close to the mirror) but thankfully I've never succumbed to the temptation to do my 30 post shave passes on the strop without my glasses on. I've been tempted though.

Hope the damage was not too bad. However, congrats on the good shave.

Most shaving is done by feel anyway so glasses should not be necessary. I know I don't use mine when I shave of course my vision isn't really that bad without them. As I recall we have a member here who is blind and shaves with a straight so it can be done.
