    Default Another newbie question

Hopefully this will be my last for a while. I need to increase the speed of my shaving time. I'm coming up on a month straight of shaving every day, and my time has dropped from 50-60 minutes down to 35-40, but I need to at least halve this. It is just a matter of practice? I can't imagine it takes everyone that long to shave. WTG, XTG and some AGT to tidy up and get things smooth. I don't hang about contemplating the shave as I do it, I'm a man about my business, but it still takes a long time. What works for you guys that can get it done. I was amazed when I watched Lynn's DVD and saw how quickly he went, start to finish. Don't know how he did it.

It's just a matter of being confident about what you're doing.
That being said, if you aren't confident, don't force it. Meaning, don't rush things just because you think you should be confident by now. Everybody goes their own pace.

If it's that much of a bother and you find yourself rushed, try shaving and showering at night. Often times straight shaves last longer than cartridge shaves.

The time will come down. It takes me about 15 minutes every morning to shave with the straight. I do 2 passes WTG and ATG most days. Special occations maybe XTG too. You will see as you get more confident the time will get less. Good luck.

I think Lynn sped up the video to fool us. Just kidding. It takes me about 15 minutes start to finish including prep and cleanup and thats about as fast as I would ever want to go. The more you shave the faster it should get. At 1 month you should just be developing some facility with the razor but it can take up to 6 months to be really good and fast.
