Yes same here the metal handles are too heavy in my opinion. This makes the razor not very well balanced.

I think my Wapi mod is very effective in countering the balance problem.

The wapienica razors are great. The steel is nice, the grind is perfect for me and they look nice too. They are just let down by two factors.
One is the scales which are certainly too heavy - I like heavy razors but I like the weight in the blade, not the scales.
The other is the lack of stamping. I don't like that they don't have good makers stamps. Some have the sfk triangle but many are completely unidentifiable which means that they will probably not keep their value over time(which isn't a huge problem as they aren't so expensive anyway!)

Good to know; I was unaware that the stockpiles were running low. I've just posted up a WTB in the classifieds.

Wow, just had my first shave with a Wapi.
Been struggling with a shavette, and a Kropp I think I knackered stropping on newspaper.

But with the wapi, soooo easy, this is how I thought straight shaving would feel.

    Thank you Mr Dempster.
