Give one a try
. All my W&B's are great shavers. Here are two that are in my current rotation. A BIG meatchopper and a "The Celebrated" Extra Hollow Ground Razor which I received with no hone wear whatsoever.Both hone easily and hold a WICKED SHARP edge.
Technique is the same,the blade does block your vision to some degree though-but the extra weight feels great.

I also like pulling out a large blade now and then, but, as much as I enjoy the big blades, I wouldn't want to use one every day. I've got my 8/8 Savage wedge, but I'm still on the lookout for a large "barber's" blade.
