Twenty to thirty depending on the day. I like to take my time and enjoy it. :)
Do yo shave every morning?
I tend to shave at night..(actually just finished doing that..)
I think this has come up before. With a poll even! :) No matter... I'll answer anyway: I'm a slow shaver. I like to take my time with things. I usualy take 40 minutes with a shower and clean-up included. The shave itself may take 20, 25 or even 30 minutes. It depends on the sharpness of the blade also. I find a sharper blade to be a faster tool. If I haven't the time to pamper myself I'll be quicker: I did a demo shave for a friend and it took me 15 minutes with my usual routine. However, if I have to rush in the morning... I prefer not shaving at all. Last time I rushed I nicked myself 3 times on the neck.
I almost never shave in the morning...I wonder if that would make a difference in the results...
I'd like to do it but the girlfriend stays in there forever so I just don't even bother trying heh.
I'm a night (or afternoon) shaver. I'd say it probably takes me about 20 mins from the time I pull the razor out to when I put it away.
I have heard that shaving in the morning can be easier on the face, but I'm not a morning person at all, so there's no way that would happen.
about 10-15, but i keep a jawline beard
I was curious about this so I timed it on a few occasions.
Lathering
Stropping
Shaving--single pass full face with second pass along jaw line
Razor dip in PROH/oil
Alum, aloe, aftershave application
7 minutes
7 Minutes? wow! You're a lucky man hehe I dont have the skills to do that yet!
On days I work I shave in the morning and on days off at night. On my days off I usually go out trail riding on a bicycle and get all sweated up. If I have shaved first it burns. Also I like shaving at night. Then I have no time constraints and I can really relax and enjoy it even more.
I did my first xtg pass this evening! My face feels pretty darn smooth! I tried a bit of ATG on the my neck but I got sorta scared when I got close to my jaw line heh. I've only been at this for two weeks now so I can't skip too many steps I suppose.
The lathering takes longer than the shaving. Never ever skimp on the lathering or you will pay for it!
Right around half an hour plus, but then I only shave when I can take the time to enjoy it and be finicky around all my little delicate places. You got to take time to stop and smell the shaving cream.
Anywhere from 10 to 35 minutes(?). Depends on how much I want to enjoy a shave that day.
"The lathering takes longer than the shaving."
Of course with so much facial hair.... ;-)
Al raz.
I find it takes me about 10 minutes or thereabouts. I'm not rushing it. That's just how long it takes, but my beard isn't made of steel like some of the fellas!
About a half hour. Morning shaver (during the week, anyway) so I set the alarm earlier.
During the week, I take around 10 mins once the blade touches my face (two pass), add 5 mins for making lather, add a couple of mins for clean up of brush and blade. On Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day I decide to shave, I will generally take 20+ mins for the shave.
I shave in the evening.
It used to be about 35 - 40 minutes when I started, but now I can go as fast as about 8 - 10 minutes. I only WTG tho, may do that twice if I am interested in a close shave.
15-20 mins for me. i always shower before hand and i give myself 35 mins for shower and shave so sometimes i go longer. i like to take my time. i am getting better and better as i go but i find the more i shave the closer i try to get so i don't really save much time yet. i'm sure i will soon enough. before i started with the straight i really wasn't a fast shaver anyways so it isn't a shock to my routine.
Here are some results from a poll with a similar question a few months ago:

15-20 minutes most days a little longer on Saturday nights.
40 minutes, including shower, making lather, stropping, 3 pass shave, razor clean-up and oiled, alum application, brush cleaned up, splashed water cleaned up, aftershave skin care.
Time well spent!
If I'm using a stainless it saves me ~5 minutes of fussing with the razor I think
Hrmm, about 15 min from start to finish for face shave.
About 45 min from start to finish with head and face shavey.
That includes drying the razor, wiping down counter, putting stuff away etc.
Normally it takes me somewhere around 20 minutes for 3 passes.
It takes me normaly about 10 minutes from the time I open the medicine cabinet to the time I close it. This includes stropping, lathering, two passes, and, clean up.
If I am feeling indulgent it will take me 15 minutes.
If I am in a hurry it takes a little less than 5 minutes. I don't strop and I use canned shaving cream. I also leave a mess.
I started shaving when I was in the army having a drill seargeant screaming at me to move my ass.
Comfortable shave - 20-25 mins
Close shave - 30 mins
ive been at it for a week or so my first shave took about 45 min but today (my best shave so far) i did it in about 20-25 min with fantastic results
2 passes with and against 15 minutes.
I like to shave in the mornings before work.
With a shower and clean up close to 1/2 hour.
I hovered at just under a half an hour for a long time, but something happened about eight or nine months ago, coincidentally right when Little Man was born :hmmm: and my shaves now take about 10-15 minutes including clean up. That's fresh out of the shower. If I've got to do the hot towel beard prep you could add another 3-5 minutes to that.
I once got a shower and straight shave in and got dressed in 10 minutes when I was late for work. That was early days, after straight shaving for a few months and I got off lucky.

ok this is quite embarrassing:o.. without the shower it takes like +1 hour
don't get me started on how long the shower takes:rofl2:
But it took me almost an hour when I use to shave with an ordinary cartridge razor too..I guess I'm just like that: No worries! No Hurries!
I am still quite new at this, but for me from the time I pick up the razor till the time I put it away is between17-20 minutes. That includes lather up, hot rinse and cold rinse and aftershave. I shave with and against the grain for my whole face. I have some crazy direction of growth so I have to be a contortionist to get all the spots smooth.
10 minutes with the brush if not rushed (have an intimate relationship with the brush) , 5 minutes to shave, 10 if its a new razor (wanna feel it slowly).
I'm a newbie. I give myself an hour to shower and shave with a str8. The shower is about 15 min and the shave about 30 min. I haven't timed my cleanup. Sweney Todd was fast and it didn't do him any good.
Dave
Well then at least I spread joy over you other shavers:p
I usually take about 40 min including the shave. My room-mate must love me, using as long time in there as a girl.
But I am relatively new to this, just have about 10 shaves under my belt:)
