Feed-back - After 2 weeks straight :-)
Hi!
I would like to post here my experience after 2 weeks: IT HAS BEEN GREAT
I am really enjoyng this, and have never looked twice to my DE razors!
It was really a turning point to me: for the good. I have already started to get the feel of my face, its curves and the way I should shave them with the straight; am using both hands naturally; I thynk my stropping its good and getting better; my face feels much better; I thynk I am realising wich is the best type of grind to me and soon I will be starting to learn how to hone.
Just one thing: in these 2 weeks I managed to get 5 razors, almost an average of 1/2 half razor a day - but I thynk it is normal and perfectly justifiable.....isn´t it?

It looks you're on the right track. Hang in there. In a few months it all becomes second nature and before you know you've got over a dozen straights. Then the hone addiction will start.
Enjoy the ride. Shaving is fun.

Welcome to the DARK side!
Just keep at it. Like Max says-soon it will be second nature. Razors will soon be arriving via the common carriers frequently.
Then the wonderful world of honing will be open for you to explore-Shapton's,Vintage Thuringians, Escher's, and Coticules will soon be MUST HAVE items.
A fine hobby it is. If you are lucky-LIKE ME-you HAVE to shave everyday or constantly be asked: Are you growing a beard?
Welcome and enjoy.

Yep! Too late...
I already have a combination coticule and BBW, along with some pasted strops
Just for the record: I just shaved 10 minutes ago - DOVO Classic straight, proraso cream, alumn block, Dominica Bay Rum and Musgo Real balm...man oh man

Makes sense to me!
You're doing great and you are a quicker study then I was. It took me a couple of weeks to totally leave the DE behind. I had to get troublesome areas like the chin and below the jaw line with the DE when I first started. Smooth shaving now though. Enjoy it !
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
