Thanked: 74I like'm big
Finally got around to honing up a big wedge. It took quite a while, but it was worth it. Probably the most comfortable shave yet.
The blade has a couple of marks on it, but is very shiny. Think I'll leave it just as it is, especially after the work that was required to hone it.
I
Oh, its 7/8 ths and almost a full wedge. Nevermind the little bit of polishing compound hiding in the notch.
I now have to work on the strength in my left hand. It can only hold it for about 3/4 of the left side of my face before I have to take a short break. Stupid left hand.

Mighty nice ! I like the big wedges too... and the full hollows ... and everything in between. I take my hat off to you if your shaving with both hands. I'm not there yet.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 95There's definitely something about that old Sheffield steel, and btw the marks doesn't look bad to me.
I've spent quite some time trying to shave with my left hand, it took a while before I got comfortable with it, and it has taken even longer before I was able to get as close shave on the xtg pass with my left hand as I did with my right.

Thanked: 74I figured that since I was basically learning a new skill with my right hand, the left hand should learn also. The left hand has cut me once or twice but it is almost as good as the right hand now.

Nice looking razor, the small imperfections are going to come around anyway if you are using it as a daily shaver, so what the heck.
