shiny face
After my last shave, I noticed that my face was very shiny. I like the feel of the shave but I am not sure that I want to reflect the sunlight ;-). Two questions:
Has anybody noticed the same, is this common?
Does anybody have way to prevent it? Perhaps I am shaving too close.

It is common with the closeness of shave attributed with a straight shave. You've simply shaved deeper than before, cutting the whiskers that normally produce a shadow effect you're used to.

the better i got with a straight the more my face would shine i dont think there is such a thing as too close of a shave unless your taking the skin with it but if you dont want to reflect sunlight dont do an atg pass and see if thats what your looking for

Some of that can be attributed to the slight exfoliation of dead(non shiny) skin cells.

I'v also had good luck with Clubman's Pinaud talc. Just sprinkle a little on a towel after shaving & pat it on. It smells good & will get ride of that mirror shin.
