Neat video! I have a stack of Ark stones and some diamonds as well. That is all I use for my straight razor. My homemade paddle too of course. I thought for sure I would have to buy a whole slew of new stones for shaving. My Ark stones and and home made goodies work just right!

An Opinel? Heck yeah you can shave with it. They're carbon steel too, and will take a good edge. Tell ya what, I'll trade you my shave ready Old Hickory for your opinel....

Hmmm... paringknifeplace.com, eh? Gotta go buy a domain.... ;-)

Oh no you won't, Sir. I call all your stones and razors! Looks like I'll be making a recycling trip to the Twin Towns soon?

my friends think that my knives are crazy sharp. I have a 30$ buck folding that can take the hair off my arm without a problem but its nothing like that!! I only use a 5$ belt to keep my knives in good shape though. wonder if I should start investing in a few knife hones............

wow nice shave and i thought that i keep my pocket knives sharp, I test them on a patch of leg hair or arm hair (if theres any growing back from the last sharpening) Im going to have to try this some time.

My son spent a summer selling "Cutco" knives and had a lot of interesting demonstrations of how sharp they were.

I should have told him to shave with one!
