Default More than one razor shave?

Does anybody here use more than one razor when they shave? I find that certain parts of my face are easier for me to shave with one blade over another.

For my head I use my round point because it's my largest blade and "safest". I use it for my face too if the mood strikes me, but if I'm grooming a beard or goatee which I sometimes let grow, then I use a smaller French point razor. In fact, I find it easier to shave my upper lip with this razor.

    Anybody else doing this?

I've thought about it because I love shaving with a nice fat blade but definitely a pain in the ass around the goat. I have a couple of nice 4/8 I picked up in a lot purchase that need a little cleaning up and a honing I may try it.

I only shave with the razor of choice for that day. I had a mustache for a couple of decades but when I started wet shaving I shaved it off just to have more to shave.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I do not see a reason why this would not work. It would take a little longer but perhaps better results may outweigh the time expenditure. Not sure. Please post your results id you decide to try.

well i never try more than 4 razors when shaving, there is only so much face. why so many ... a few test passes for each razor to make sure they are honed properly. normally though i only use one razor.

I used to grab a 4/8th for my upper lip, but since then my nose has gotten much more flexible and just plain old smart enough to get out of the way when it sees the 7/8th’s coming, and since they cut better I just stay with the one larger razor now.

I know that I am a bit odd but I do use more than one razor every day. I have a very tough bear that requires special work to get a baby face shave. I always start with a regular straight to do the initial work. It pulls out the hair before cutting it off. If I have time I will restrop and use it again. But sometimes I use a feather straight to do the across the grain work. then to do the final touch up I use a DE. There are some spots under my jaw line that I cannot get at wih my straights. The DE works well for that.
