Thread: Background Noise

The other day instead of shaving in silence, I played The Godfather soundtrack in the background.... made me wonder what does everyone else has going on in the background, if anything, while they shave.


I usually shave in the morning so I shave in silence but it was VERY different shaving with music in the background. When I shave, I just concentrate on what I am doing while getting myself (mentally) ready for the day ahead. I guess you can call it "me" time.

I enjoy the sound of hairs popping off my face!

I usually shave in the evening and I like to have music playing, what it is depends on my mood. Some past favorites have been Machito - 'Kenya: Afro-Cuban Jazz', Magdalena Kozena - 'Bach Arias' and Pepper Adams - 'The Cool Sound of Pepper Adams'.

I listen to Pandora radio while shaving

i go old school and put on some glenn miller or artie shaw while shaving

I don't think I'd be able to listen to anything while shaving. I'm worried I would be tempted to start singing along to the music while shaving! And that probably doesn't have a happy ending.....

I am usually in a hurry and just listen to talk radio. This way I get a shave and info at the same time.

I love old school, Cat Stevens, Doris Day, Etta James. I have nice speakers that I plug my iPod into. Music ad's more enjoyment to the shave-!!!!
